Finally, someone has listed the honorable and just verses from the Quran.  The list contains 75 verses, called “good stuff,” out of the 6346 verses in the Quran.  That’s less than 1.2 percent.  However, Islam includes the concept of abrogation where some verses were rendered invalid by subsequent contradictory verses. (See Surah 2:106.)  No Muslim would dare make a list of the abrogated  and the abrogating verses, but a former Muslim and Christian scholar, Anwarul Haqq, made a study in 1926, and his published findings can be found at http://www.muhammadanism.org/Quran/abrogation_koran.pdf.   The abrogated verses in the list below are marked with the symbol *.  Out of the “good” verses listed below, only 58 were not abrogated by subsequent verses.  Consequently, the total number of unabrogated “good” verses in the Quran amounts to about 0.9 percent.  You can’t make a good religion if fewer than one percent of the statements by Allah would be considered “good” by contemporary standards.   Source: The Skeptic’s Annotated Quran  (http://skepticsannotatedbible.com/quran/ )
